 By David Freeman

Highways in the Sky is a book about flying. It has something for everybody interested in airplanes or helicopters. If you're a seasoned pilot, a new pilot or you just want to learn to fly, there is something in this book for you.

The author started learning to fly in 1969. Not long after he soloed, he was drafted and spent the next five years flying helicopters in the US Army, including a year as a Dustoff (medevac) pilot in Vietnam. Freeman loves aviation and he loves to talk about and promote it. After almost forty years as a pilot and more than 6,000 hours in the air, naturally, there are some stories to tell.

This book is designed to entertain and inform, but it also educates. Enjoy Freeman's easy-going narrative as he flies a variety of aircraft from Luscombes to Hueys to King Airs. The stories are short and easy to read.

If you love aviation, you'll enjoy this book. If you have a friend who is "into flying." This book would make a great gift.
